Within the restored, 1908 Island Center School in the down town cultural corridor, where photos, artifacts, videos, and friendly docents interpret Island history, folklore, archaeology, cultural diversity, architecture and natural wonder.

    The Bainbridge Island Historical Society is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 public-benefit Washington State Corporation with directors elected from public membership. Your donations to the Society are tax-deductible. Collecting, preserving and interpreting the colorful history of Bainbridge Island; promoting Island historic preservation and sponsoring the Museum.

    The archive, library, research and interpretive center that helps the Society meet it's Mission is the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum

    Art, artifacts, Audio and Video Recordings, Biographies, Books, Exhibits, Historic Property Inventories, Libraries, Maps, Paper and Manuscripts, Photos.

  • Programs
    The Bainbridge Island Historical Society sponsors the Bainbridge History series of monthly public programs.

    The Society is funded by donations through the Bainbridge foundation and other tax-deductible grants and gifts, Society Memberships and the sale of goods and services.
