Welcome to the Bainbridge Island Resilient Community Network home page. This site is in place to help you, your family, friends and community to prepare for disruptive events that could have an impact on us all. At the moment Y2K is the issue, it is imminent and finite (we can see it coming), but it could be an earthquake, a severe storm or power outage. Even though this page is on a web site oriented toward Bainbridge Island, Washington the concept of community preparedness applies to everyone everywhere and the term "neighbor" extends as far as is practical. I consider towns around us neighbors, the Suquamish tribe, people who live on boats, visitors who happen to be here at the time of an event, these are all neighbors. This information applies to us all. -- Dave Henry
We encourage you to explore, inform yourself, test your assumptions and make a decision about your level of preparedness, willingness to act and availability to contribute.
